So as you all probably know it's Treasures of the Nile week in Pet Society. To be honest, like everyone else I thought this week was rather boring and wished Halloween would come at last, but I decided to give it a try and be optimistic for a change . . .
On Monday I left Pet Society for the day to go to the National History Museum. The main reason I went was because coincidentally, they had a special exhibit about the Ancient Egyptians. I thought it was perfect to learn all about Egypt before this new week in Pet Society even started and so I made sure I had no plans so I could spend the whole day at the museum . . . Here is a picture of the special section at the museum dedicated to the history of Ancient Egypt:

While at the museum, I looked around a lot - there were heaps of displays and the exhibit seemed to go on forever. By the end of the day my poor paws (no pun intended! :P) were so sore! (and that rhymes xD) I really didn't want to admit it - seeing as I had committed myself so much - but I thought the exhibit was rather boring and I didn't get to see anything cool like dead mummies or stuff like that.
But after the exhbition, we went into another room, sort of like a little theatre, with a big projection screen and we were going to watch a short film about Ancient Egypt and King Tutankhamen (the boy Pharaoh) the best part was it was in 3D! I felt like I was at the cinemas only better! After the film, I realized I actually had spent the whole day at the museum and it was getting rather late, but at least I had finally enjoyed learning about Ancient Egypt and discovered how interesting it really is! So I went home, back to Pet Society.
It even inspired me to do a little photo-shoot! So, here is a nice little pic of me finding Ancient Egyptian treasures in what appears to be a dark and abandoned pyramid! I wonder if there are any mummies in there?! *eek*
I also thought maybe I had tried TOO hard into getting myself to like this week's theme because now I absolutely love it! Just look at what I bought: (And not to mention this week's cc Limited Edition: Egyptian Princess Bundle - the first pic in this post) Especially since they ALL were one week only, I just couldn't bear to miss out!
And so that, my friends, is how I learned to appreciate another culture (even if it was over 3000 years old! :P) But the main thing is I had fun and learned heaps of new things. I hope you enjoyed reading about my adventures but I'm quite tired now after the week I've been through, so I'm gonna have to end it there!
Love, Vanessa! xx
